GivingTuesday at HPA

By Cheryl Stern, Director of Development

According to the founders of GivingTuesday, it is a day to “unleash the power of radical generosity to transform communities”. On Tuesday, November 30, the HPA community demonstrated this in a BIG way.

We began the day with a goal of raising $20,000 for the HPA Annual Fund, which would unlock a very generous $20K match. This felt like an ambitious yet achievable goal that would make a sizable impact on our Annual Fund progress.

Well, HPA supporters… you knocked it out of the park.

Thanks to the incredible generosity from parents, faculty, and friends, we raised $95,310 for the HPA Annual Fund on Tuesday. Adding in the additional $20,000 match brings the grand total to $115,310! This is a true testament to the love and appreciation felt for our school and the power of what we can accomplish together.

To date, over 55% of HPA parents have given to the Annual Fund. Thank you! Read on for the latest grade-level participation stats. A special shout-out goes to 1st grade for leading the way with 70% parent participation. But watch out! 3rd grade is right on your tail…

Kindergarten: 57%
1st Grade: 70%
2nd Grade: 59%
3rd Grade: 69%
4th Grade: 42%
5th Grade: 38%
6th Grade: 55%
7th Grade: 53%
8th Grade: 33%

Thank you to each and every donor! Your support means so very much to the students of HPA.
