Four HPA projects won at Los Angeles County History Day and will compete at History Day California in May.
The winning projects are:
“The Fight for Children’s Rights: Debate and Diplomacy” by Eliana G., Emma N.
“Kennedy, Khrushchev, and Castro: The World at Edge” by Aurix H., Cory L., Ethan C.
“Code Name Gadget: Debatre, Diplomacy, and the Atomic Bomb” by Carissa C., Katherine C., Alex J., Francesca G.
“Mutually Assured Destruction: The Clash Between Two Nuclear Superpowers” by William Z.
We also had a runner up website, “Ping Pong Diplomacy: Sports? Politics? Or Both?” by James W. and Eric Y. Caden M. competed with his research paper on performance enhancing drugs in baseball.
The winners at the county contest will compete in person at History Day California in Sacramento, May 6-8, 2022.
