Robotics 3rd-6th Grade After School

By Dr. Jeffery Flagg, Ed.D.

Grades 3-6 do After-School Robotics after school for a second quarter. During the after-school enrichment, which met every Tuesday and Thursday from February to March, students can build and program robots for various engineering challenges. For the first few meetings, fourth-grade students mentored their third-grade peers. For fifth and sixth grade, their robotics class emphasized the importance of computational thinking computer science and how sensors (i.e., distance, color, sound) are applied in real-life situations.
